About Swaziland Network Campaign for Education for All

Accessible, Inclusive and Quality Education For All

The Swaziland Network Campaign for Education for All (SWANCEFA) is an NGO established in 2007 and duly registered as such under the laws of Swaziland. It is governed by a Board of Directors consisting of seven (7) members representing member organizations.  SWANCEFA is a National Education Coalition campaigning for Swazis ‘rights to quality and inclusive education for all’.

The coalition aims to ensure that Education for All (EFA) goals are achieved by the country by Sustainable Development Goals and the African Agenda 2063. The role of SWANCEFA is to organize partners to discuss issues of policy-making, conduct research to inform policy, promotion of public and media debate and strengthen its member organizations through capacity building, coordination of activities, and better use of each organization’s expertise in promoting education for all. SWANCEFA’s main mandate is to identify gaps and imbalances in the education system of the country and then push for policy change to correct those imbalances.

SWANCEFA, which was formed as a Swaziland chapter in the campaign for “Education For All” came as a result of the ANCEFA move to support the establishment of National Education Coalitions and EFA campaigns that link different national education stakeholders in member states. SWANCEFA has been supported by ANCEFA to establish its own national office, a Constitution, and its first Strategic Plan. Currently, the Organization has a membership of twenty-one (21) organizations across the landscape of non-governmental organizations, however, SWANCEFA is continuously opening its doors to new members who share the same objectives and goals as SWANCEFA. The ultimate objective for SWANCEFA is to ensure that Education for All goals are achieved.
