The role of SWANCEFA is to organize partners to discuss issues of policy making, conduct research to inform policy, promotion of public and media debate and to strengthen its member organization’s through capacity building, coordination of activities and better use of each organization’s expertise in promoting education for all. SWANCEFA’s main mandate is to identify gaps and imbalances in the education system of the country and then push for policy change to correct those imbalances.
SWANCEFA, which was formed as a Swaziland chapter in the campaign for “Education For All” came as a result of the ANCEFA move to support
the establishment of National Education Coalitions and EFA campaigns that link different national education stakeholders in member states. SWANCEFA has been supported by ANCEFA to establish its own national office, a Constitution and its first Strategic Plan. Currently the Organization has a membership of sixteen (16) organizations across the landscape of non-governmental organizations, however, SWANCEFA is continuously opening its doors for new members who share same objectives and goals with SWANCEFA. The ultimate objective for SWANCEFA is to ensure that Education for All goals are Achieved.
