Deputy Prime Minister Hon. Thulisile Dladla praised parents who championed their children with disabilities, emphasizing the importance of support and visibility over concealment.
In a progressive move, the DPM advocated for teacher training in sign language within the Ministry of Education, a significant step toward inclusive education. Following engaging dialogues with learners during the event, the Deputy Prime Minister's Office pledged to collaborate with the Ministry of Education to promptly address children's concerns, showing a commitment to action and listening to young voices.
Not stopping there, the DPM's office went a step further, providing child-headed families with housing, chickens, and goats to enable self-reliance and empowerment - truly touching lives in a tangible way in the month of June.
